5 Simple Crafts for Summer {Guest Post}

Created On: July 16, 2012  |  Updated: July 16, 2012  |   1 Comment

YAY! I’m so excited to share with you one of my bloggy friends, Shannon from Madigan Made! She was kind enough to put a little round-up together of fun summer crafts. I just LOVE these!! 🙂

Hi there! My name is Shannon and I blog over at Madigan Made. I’m so happy to be here today.
I love sharing simple ideas for crafts & decor with my blog readers. And I have a confession: I crave easy & elegant solutions for my home. {and a little chocolate, but who’s counting?}

Are you enjoying the spring? Yeah, I know…this spring is flying by quickly! Can you believe that summer is flying by?! Well, today I thought I’d to share with you some simple summer crafts from the past that might help you!

Five simple summer craft projects:

ONE: Embellish your flip-flops.

Did you know… You can use fun scrapbook paper and glass gems to personalize basic flip-flops?

TWO: Sew a patriotic star garland.

Cut out simple star shapes and run them randomly through your sewing machine for easy Fourth of July garland.

THREE: Be ready for a picnic with a new cutlery caddy.

Transform an old wooden basket into a holder for your paper goods so you’ll always be ready for a party.

FOUR: Create cute storage for your sunglasses.

Look for an old spoon or fishing rod rack that can be recycled into fun sunglasses storage.

FIVE: Turn your vacation souvenirs into charm jewelry.

Are you headed to the beach for a vacation? Look for tiny shells that you can craft into a pretty keepsake necklace.

If you like any of these ideas… be sure to stop over and visit me on Madigan Made! I share lots of crafts and DIY décor projects… and the occasional picture of my crazy dog. And if you really want to see what inspires me, come join me on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest!

Carolina, thanks so much for the opportunity to share these projects with your readers!
