Making Hot Cider in the Crock Pot is super simple, makes the house smell delicious, and perfect for any holiday get-together. And it is insanely simple. Sure, you can find fancy recipes for mulling spices, but this crock pot cider takes only four ingredients (three will work in a pinch), and then you just let it simmer to perfection!
You’ll need:
Apple juice or apple cider (large bottle from Costco, or two smaller ones from the store)
Orange
Whole Cloves
Cinnamon stick (if you can’t find one, just don’t use it – no big deal)
Knife
Crock Pot
Cut slits in the orange, about an inch or so apart. We’re just cutting into the peel – not slicing up the orange.
Poke the cloves into the peel, between the slices. I like making pretty lines, but you can get fancy with letters or shapes if you like.
Put the orange, two sticks of cinnamon, and the apple juice all in the crock pot. Simmer on High for about 6 hours. Switch to low for serving. Yum!
The perfect warm drink for a cold day!
