Pocket Week Guest Post – Passport Wallet by Crafty Staci

Created On: August 3, 2010  |  Updated: August 3, 2010  |   1 Comment

In case you don’t know Staci yet… let me fill you in. Staci is Awesome! She is constantly coming up with super-cool projects, like the  Fabric Fortune Teller, Fabric Fortune Cookies, and I have yet to make the wonderful Fabric Oragami Jumping Frogs. But not all of her projects are fabric masquerading as paper. She’s made some really awesome Robin Hood Hats and she did an awesome T-shirt Refashion, to name a few. Oh, and she’s giving away one of these passport wallets over at her blog!

She is super-talented, and super friendly. In fact, when I first started blogging, I would check out other blogs, and comment now and then. Staci started writing back… and through e-mails and comments back and forth, we’ve become bloggy friends! That’s why I’m so super excited to have her guest posting here for Pocket Week (that, and that she’s amazingly talented)! Take it away Staci!

My name is Staci, from Crafty Staci, and I’m honored to be here today as a guest on Expect Moore.   Carolina rocks and I can’t wait to see everything she has in store for Pocket Week!
I’ve designed a few different types of bags and accessories and one thing that’s almost always a must is pockets.  They make for effective use of space and organization.  Not to mention, it’s just an excuse for me to throw another cute, coordinating fabric into a project.  That, and the organization thing.
I came up with this wallet because I needed a good way to carry my passport, credit cards, driver’s license, hotel key card and a collapsible pen.  The little pocket I ended up with that holds a stick of gum was a bonus.
To make this project you’ll need:

17 x 22″ cotton fabric
6 1/2 x 12″ iron-on lightweight interfacing
6″ zipper (or a longer one shortened to that size)
elastic hair tie
button (1/2″ or larger)
I hope you’ll join me and make one of your own.  However, if you want to skip the making and get right to the carrying, leave a comment on my blog by August 9th and you’ll be entered to win one I’ve made!
Thanks for letting me drop in.  Enjoy Pocket Week!
Yay! Thanks Staci, this project is fantastic! And I really love that red and black polka dot fabric. Because I love red… and polka dots! I’m going to have to make myself one of these, and maybe a couple extras for my friends who like to travel… awesome Christmas Presents! : )
Expect Moore…soon!
