Moore Love Mondays – a New Series!

Created On: June 13, 2011  |  Updated: June 13, 2011  |   5 Comments

I’ve been wanting to start this up for a while… and finally here it is! The first edition of “Moore Love Mondays.”

Each Monday I’ll be spreading the Love by sharing with you fun stuff I’ve run into on the internet. Projects, tutorials, great blogs…whatever has been tickling my fancy lately.

In addition to writing this blog, and contributing on others, I do a lot of blog reading as well. I think it is important to see what others are doing – and it keeps me inspired! I love seeing what other crafty bloggers are up to. I try to comment on the posts I love, but I wanted to share some of them with you as well.

Handmade by HeidiOne of the big things that keeps me inspired are things that get me in touch with others in the crafty blogging community. One of these things is the monthly Friday Night Sew in. If you sew, and are not yet involved, you need to click the link and check it out. When I participate, it is so fun to know that other sewers all around the world are all joining me in stitching the night away… even though none of them are under the same roof as I am.

Contests are fun, too. Like the one Arrow Sewing Cabinets just announced. They’re challenging people to make projects using yo-yos. I’ve seen yo-yos around, but never made one before, so I decided to join in on the challenge… and as a result have an awesome project and a fun tutorial I’ll be sharing later on. I would never have thought of this if it hadn’t been for their contest!

Community challenges also get me inspired. Like the one over on the Sew Shine blog, for WIP busting. I’ll share more on this later, but if you have a pile of unfinished projects, and just need some motivation to get you started, head on over to her blog and get started! At the very least, this challenge will get me to pull out all of my works in progress, and prioritize them for completion!

So, tell me… what inspires you to create?

Always,

That’s such a nice idea to share fun stuff you find online!

My inspiration mostly come from colours, picture,, visual stuff. So I love to look at magazines, online (on Pinterest!), in craft stores…

That’s a great idea. I’m so focused on school right now, I barely get time to read a book outside of a textbook. LOL

I would love to see more of this and I hope you keep it up!
