When my friend Mandi visited to help with the preparations for Pumpkin Week, I asked her if she had any projects she wanted to work on. She had just one… making trick or treat bags for her sons. They were going to be a fireman and a dalmatian. We came up with the idea of making simple felt bags with fire hydrants on them.
While she was here, we got started on them, but hubby needing to work all weekend combined with an unexpected detour to the Emergency Room to diagnose Little Moore’s ear infection put a serious dent in our timeline.
I had Mandi leave the bags with me, so I could finish the sewing. Here are the finished bags:
I sent them off to Mandi in California, who added cute red whip stitching (the perfect finishing touch)! Teamwork – I love it when a plan comes together!
Always,

How cute! I like the idea of costume-themed bags, instead of always using the generic plastic pumpkin! Adorable! Stopping by from the LBS tea party 🙂
