I was contacted by The Kit Place to check out their products, and do a review. I checked out their website to see what they were all about…
After looking at their fantastic kits, it was hard to decide… I loved the Personal Tote, and the Office to Go looked like lots of fun… but I just had to pick the Unique Stationary. With all the wonderful people in my life… I end up writing a lot of thank you notes! I’m a big believer in hand-written thank you notes… and handmade thank you notes are even better!
When the box arrived it looked like this:
Which was totally impressive. I didn’t take a picture of the outside box, but it looked like it had been through a couple rounds of the annual UPS kick-ball tournament. Even so, everything inside looked great! I love that this kit has just about everything you need to create your masterpiece. All I needed was a pen and a pair of scissors and I was in business. and I love that they put “real” stuff in the kits. I remember crafting kits when I was a kid had single-use glue… if you didn’t finish your project right away, when you came back everything was dried up! With this kit, you can start your project, and if something comes up you can get back to it later.
This kit kept me busy for several hours. I used the template to trace and cut my envelopes, and the envelope liners. I love lined envelopes!! The cards were pre-cut the perfect size for the envelopes. I made all of my envelopes, and then started in on designing some fun cards:
I still have some supplies left over to make some more cards. I love that this kit has everything I need to create this unique stationary. And, if I want, I can add in some of my own stamps, ink and supplies as well… but I don’t need to because this is a complete kit!
Kits like these are great to have around for that unexpected junior guest that needs something fun to do. It is great to keep a kit in the office if your kids (or a co=worker’s kids) stop by because school may have a half-day, but the office does not. I could also see sending these to a kid in the hospital who is bored all day – these projects can be put aside and started again very easily. It is even a great kit for an adult who loves to craft (sound like anybody you know!?).
Oh, and The Kit Place is offering one lucky reader a FREE kit! How cool is that? Just leave a comment below telling me how you would use the kit. Contest ends Tuesday October 26th at Midnight PST!
Always,

I’m sure I could keep my Cousin (and myself), entertained with one of those kits during her Christmas break making stationary to send all the years birthday cards in 🙂

Like you I send a lot of handwritten cards. I love to make my own but most times don’t have time to gather everything together and create. A kit would make it sooo much easier! I’d love to win.

Those look really neat Carolina! They remind me of how you made my Engagement Party cards. One of those kits looks like it could come in handy for thank you cards, maybe even wedding invitations since I am planning to hand write mine if I can remember how to write with a calligraphy pen again!
I always enjoy stopping be Expect Moore and am planning to do some of your pumpkin week ideas with my nephews… & if you had a pumpkin pie recipe maybe you can extend it a day 😀

I would love to have something like this, My 7 yr is often saying how he is bored and I only have so much of a supply of crafts. He is very creative. And to have a kit that he could do a complete project would be so nice. I’d probably pick the pizza kit, he loves helping out in the kitchen.

Those look great! I would use a kit to have my 4 year old send notes to grandma. She loves sending her drawings and cards since we always live far away from family due to military moves. I know she’d love sending her grandma some cards that she could make herself.

I know I’d never use the stationary kit. Kind of like I don’t scrapbook. Never. Ever.
But, I would use the personal tote kit! I love tote bags and reusable shopping bags (I wouldn’t be your hippie friend if I didn’t love reusable shopping bags) and personalized ones are always more fun.
Hugs!
