I showed you the fortune “cookies” I made for my little bro and soon-to-be little-sis-in-law. I wanted to make a card to go along with it. Here is what I came up with:
I really like the way that it turned out. I used (from top to bottom) the “Wedding Background” stamp from Stampede, “Sky Writer” from A Muse Artstamps,”Once Upon a Time” from Hampton Art Stamps, and “Love Row” from Katie and Co.
The background text was stamped first with Antique Linen Distress Ink (so that it was light and subtle), and then a second time with black pigment ink… lining up the stamp as best I could (meaning, not at all lined up). I like the effect. The rest of the stamps were done with black pigment ink, and then select parts were colored in with the brown , to make it tie in. The largest and smallest pieces were edged with the distress ink. This was the first time I’d really used distress ink…and I LOVE how it looked! I’ll be using it lots in the future.
Lastly, I tied some raffia around the bottom. The entire design was inspired by this layout over at The Scrapaholoic.
It is already in the mail on the way to A&B! 😀
Expect Moore… soon!
