Mommy, Let’s Make Something!

Mommy, let’s make something! Those are some of my favorite words. As a crafter, I want my sons to learn how to create. And love creating things. Because I want them to love it, I don’t want to push creativity on them. My oldest loves to help me sew. He likes to push down on the pedal or adjust the stitches. And he loves to paint. More and more he’s asking to create with me.

Although sometimes I suspect that he’s asking to do an art project because he knows it will postpone bedtime… I don’t mind. To sit with my son and together create something out of nothing, it is magical.
