Nevada’s State Fragrance

 

 I’m so excited to share this with y’all! I was selected as the Nevada Blogger for the Better Homes and Gardens State Fragrance Contest! I got to try out the yummy new BHG scents and flameless scent warmer, and come up with a combination that represents Nevada!


I had a blast doing this, but it wasn’t easy! Most people, when thinking of Nevada, immediately think of Las Vegas. Maybe Reno and Tahoe. But there is so much more to this great state! Hiking at Redrock, history in Virginia City, and communities filled with families.


My final concoction is a blend of three of the BHG scents – Soft Cashmere Amber, Cinnamon & Spice, Vanilla Caramel Spice. The Soft Cashmere & Amber has a very soothing, spa-like scent which reminds me of the luxuries of Nevada. The Vanilla Caramel Spice has warm notes that make me think of hot desert sand. And the Cinnamon and Spice is hot and tangy like the night life in this great state.


I had to come up with a name for my fragrance as well, so I named it Sin, Spice & Everything Nice. It is seriously awesome smelling. I’ve been filling our Nevada home with the scent of Nevada all week by turning on the warmer for about an hour each morning. That’s all it takes to release the fragrance into the air. And, because the unit is flameless, I don’t have to worry about accidentally leaving it on when I leave the house.
