Pocket Week Guest Post – Purse Pockets from Crafty Vegas Mom

Created On: August 4, 2010  |  Updated: August 4, 2010  |   1 Comment

Bobbi over at Crafty Vegas Mom is fantastic. I love her blog, and her projects. And I love that she lives right here in Vegas. Not that I’ve met her in person (yet), but I like knowing there is another crafty mom running around this same town. : )

She is also one half of the dynamic duo that host the Friday Night Sew In. I love the FNSI, because it is an “excuse” to stay up late, and get some projects done… then blog about it the next day! Even though I’m in my own craft room, wearing PJs and listening to Pandora, it is nice to know there are other ladies all across the globe doing the same thing!

Today, Bobbi is going to show us some fantastic Purse Pockets… take it away Bobbi!

Hey everyone!!!  I’m Bobbi from “CraftyVegasMom” and I am soooo excited to be blogging on Carolina’s site for POCKET WEEK!!!  What a GREAT idea!  THANKS Carolina!!!

If any of you read my blog, you know I’m addicted to bags.  I can’t tell you how many I have, but I could possibly use a new one each day of the month.  WOAH that’s a lot of bags!  BUT my favorite part of my bags are the pockets I place inside of them.

This bag is my favorite.  It has been well used….mainly because of the pockets.

As you can see, I like to put one BIG pocket along one side with a seam in the middle‘ish.  I love to read so I make sure it fits a book nicely.  The other side is about the same size…..and fits a lot of traveling junk.  Makeup, chargers, movies, cameras…pretty much anything you lug around while on a road trip.

I also put one of these pockets in….its nice and small and fits a cell phone and/or keys perfectly!  No more digging in the bottom of the bag while your loud and goofy ring tone is going off.

This outside pocket is an “envelope” pocket and not my creation….it is part of the bags pattern made by quilts illustrated.  It just gives the bag such a nice added touch.  I usually drop my keys in this pocket for easy access.

I hope you all have a FUN week and enjoy Carolina’s Pocket Week extravaganza!!!

Bobbi – this is awesome! I love all the different pockets in one bag – each so functional! Every bag should have at least this many pockets!! Make sure you check out her blog at Crafty Vegas Mom!
