This Free Santa’s Belt Quilt Block pattern is so easy to make! It is part of this month’s “accessories” themed quilt blocks, and having just finished up Christmas in July, I couldn’t help myself! Santa’s belt is just such an iconic accessory, and such a fun, simple, and easy quilt block to whip up!
This block is incredibly easy to make, and great for beginners. All of the pieces are 1″ or larger in the finished block, and there are just over a dozen total pieces in the block! The entire illustrated pattern fits on a single sheet of paper, that’s how simple it is!
The free pattern for Santa’s Belt quilt block includes cutting instructions, as well as written and illustrated instructions for putting the block together. I can see an entire quilt made up of these blocks, with the belts alternating vertically and horizontally! A simple, modern quilt. You could add white sashing to the blocks to mimic the trim on Santa’s Suit. There are lots of ways to change up this block in a quilt to create your own unique designs.

I signed up for your quilt block mania for August but have not received the block in my email. I seem to have this problem nearly every month from this site. What am I doing wrong?
