During the summer and fall of last year, I did many demonstrations of the Boxed Bag template. Many, many demonstrations. Often, I was asked how you could customize the size of the Bowl Cozy. Because it is incredibly easy to make any sized bowl cozy with the Boxed Bag Template.
I’d explain that to make any sized bowl cozy, you cut the square the size of the bowl (plus 1/2″ for seam allowance) and you cut the darts the height of the bowl, rounded down to the nearest whole or half inch.
That seems simple enough, but it really helps to have a video to show you how to make your custom bowl cozy. And it really, really helps to have a printable that you can keep on file to refer to. So, that’s what I’ve done. I’ve created a video showing you how to measure your bowls for their custom bowl cozy, and I’ve made a free printable that you can download to reference for all your future bowl cozy making!
Watch the video here:
I made a fully illustrated cheat sheet, and I’m offering it for free. You will still need the Boxed Bag Template and the Bowl Cozy pattern to complete your bowl cozy – this free printable shows you how to adjust the measurements to make your bowl cozy custom to your bowl.

Yes, you can order them together. But some people already have the template, and just want the pattern. <3

I tried to download the free cheat sheet and it said I need to subscribe to Box.
Carolina says
You do not need to subscribe to Box. I promise. Just click the download button.

I bought the template and pattern from SewYeah, downloaded the cheat sheet here on the YouTube video and it won’t print or save. ???

Hi Helen!
I’m happy to help you with this.
You should get an email with a link that takes you to my file hosting service, Box.com. It sounds like that worked for you.
On this page, you should see an option to download the pattern. You’ll want to download it.
This downloads the file to your device. You’ll need to find where your downloads save. The default is usually the “downloads” folder.
Once you locate that folder, the file will be inside. You can then open it (it is a PDF), and print it.
Hope that helps!

Carolina says
I don’t have printed copies, it is a PDF download. Any PDF reader should be able to open the file.
