The theme this month is “connections” which can be interpreted in different ways. I decided to connect heart and star blocks together to make a heart inside a star that is inside a heart that is inside a star – and you can create this block with different colors for completely different looks!
This block comes together very quickly – lots of simple stitch-and-flip corners make it simple.

Thanks for the free block. I’m doing a heart themed quilt and I’m thinking this will be perfect for using in the back of the quilt.

I can never even send my requests for your blocks since your system tells me every month that my email address is invalid.
Carolina says
check your email… I’ve sent it to you. Also, all subscribers get the “master link” that gives them access to the folder with all the blocks. That folder is updated each month to include the new block.

Carolina,
Wanted to let you know the sisters are haveing a great time. But when we did Feb.’s block in the cutting instructions I think there is a mistake. We should not cut the 4 1/2 inch square diagonal like it says on the calendar, as your instructions have us a draw a line and do the sewing and then cut on diagonal to redo the corners on the 61/2 inch square. we all cut first and went to sew and need to recut that block.
We all abought extra fabric for this purpose so all is good, but did want to let you know.
Thank you so much.
